Father's Day '09

I am trying to catch up on all my blogging. I have a lot of work to do.

Father's Day was a little different this year. Warren was out of town for 4 days and came home that Sunday evening so they didn't get to wear their matching ties to church. WHAT!? But they made up for it the following Sunday. :)
Warren was in Utah running the Wasatch Back RAGNAR Relay with the rest of Team Chasqui. I didn't go this year. Last year was just too crazy for me so we stayed home and followed them on Twitter instead. :) I will dedicate another post all about the Ragnar and how awesome my boo did.

Parker and I spent the weekend cleaning, cleaning, & more cleaning. There wasn't 1 article of clothing in the laundry basket, washer, or dryer. Everything was washed, folded, and put away. The floors were mopped, fans dusted, tubs scrubbed, refrigerator cleaned out, clean sheets on bed, shutters dusted .... you get the point. I wanted it spotless and fit for a KING. We were so excited for Daddy to come home. We decorated the door with a signs and put his KING DAD crown on a platter... haha. He came home to a delicious dinner on the table, sparkling cider, and a nice clean house. We made him eat dinner with the crown on and everything. Parker insisted on wearing a crown too... he's so funny!

Warren is such a wonderful Dad! I love watching him and Parker together, they are best buds! WE LOVE YOU DADDY!!

He got his very own Trifle and didn't share with anyone!

The paparazzi caught W & P out on the town..... matching

Oh, I thought I throw these pics in too.... The first one is the one we sent MY Dad.. POPPY! Parker was not very cooperative for us. He would not sit still. At one point I just put the sign in the tree behind him and made him stand next to it. haha...

Waffle's Cafe REVIEW

Warren here. So the other day I was driving down Fort Apache and noticed a new place called Waffle Cafe off Fort Apache. It looked pretty interesting, so I took the fam there for breakfast. And OHHH daaaaannnngg was it good. You can create your own Waffle or choose from a few different combo meals. I had the Pumpkin Waffle with chocolate chips, whip cream, and nutella. Heather had the Original Waffle with banana's, strawberries, OH SNAP!
But they don't only serve breakfast. They serve lunch, dinner, & dessert. They offer a Waffle Club Sandwich fully loaded, a Waffle Brisket Sandwich, Waffle Pizza's,  Fruit Smoothies, Ice Cream Shakes, etc. SEE MENU BELOW.
The best part is everything on the menu falls well under $10. It's a small cafe with not much seating, but busines was hopping.  Today was our first time there but we will be making many return visits, thats for sure.

Concoction Ideas:
-waffles, pineapple, bacon, sprinkles, whip cream
-waffle, peanut butter, banana, walnuts, reese's chips, whip cream
-chocolate waffle, nutellas, marshmallows, banana, carmel sauce, whip cream
- Breakfast Sandwich- ham/bacon, cheese, egg, special sauce
